Supporting the NHS

At LimbO we take pride in being an ethical business. The LimbO waterproof protector is an affordable solution to help patients keep casts, dressings or PICC lines dry whilst still being able to shower or bath. Over many years, our parent company, Thesis Technology, has focused on education and training and we pride ourselves on providing bursaries to a wide range of NHS clinical teams and professional bodies.

Our links to the NHS go far back, including our founders working with Southampton General Hospital fracture team to test our flagship product, the LimbO waterproof protector. These orthopaedic practitioners soon became fans of LimbO and helped to spread the word across many NHS orthopaedic and fracture teams.

We run an educational scheme to support clinical teams across the NHS whose patients use LimbO products including plaster teams, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, IV access teams and podiatrists. So far, the scheme has raised more than £75,000  to assist with training and development of these teams.

Although our face-to-face contact with the NHS has been paused temporarily because of the coronavirus pandemic and the associated restrictions, we continue to support this vital organisation in the same way we have always done.
