You may have noticed that the world’s greatest sporting event is well underway. Yes that’s right, unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past two weeks, you won’t have failed to notice that the world has been gripped by World Cup fever. Children and adults alike look forward to this exciting tournament every four years. Unfortunately, wearing a cast does feel awkward and often uncomfortable. But the cast is essential to immobilise the injured area and to allow it to heal. So while you are recuperating, here are some ways to manage with that cast. 1. Keep your cast elevated
Have you heard of Legs Matter? It is a coalition of eight healthcare organisations that have come together to make sure that anyone with a lower limb or foot problem understands their condition and receives the urgent care and support they need. We love the work they’re doing and so do many others. The healthcare organisations involved include The College of Podiatry, The British Lymphology Society , Accelerate CIC and the Tissue Viability Society – to name a few!
As we approach the summer and the weather is improving, our kids are spending more time outside and enjoying the light evenings. And who can blame them?
