Why LimbO are Supporting Chemogiftbags
We are regularly humbled by the wonderful work being done to support people with cancer. We often have the pleasure of working alongside extraordinary people and amazing charities who provide comfort to those who need it.
Chemogiftbags is one such charity that is really making a difference to people with breast cancer in the Thames Valley area. As their name suggests, Chemogiftbags provide gift bags to breast cancer patients containing items they will find useful before, during and after chemotherapy. That’s why, when we were asked to donate our PICC line covers for some of the bags, we happily obliged.
Patients in the Thames Valley area can be nominated to receive a bag and a Chemogiftbag Ambassador will arrange to meet them at one of their hospital appointments to present them with their bag.
To us, this charity is about much more than a bag of thoughtful treats and items… it’s about letting people know someone cares about them. Many people go through cancer feeling isolated and alone, and the Chemogiftbag scheme lets them know someone does care about them. Each bag is packed with an individual in mind and includes many things, such as mints to calm an unsettled stomach or soft fluffy socks for sore and sensitive feet. Now some bags will also include an elbow LimbO waterproof protector, which reliably and comfortably covers a PICC line to keep it dry in the bath or shower.
