I was really pleased with how well it worked. It was a little tricky to put on, with just my working right arm but once there, it was comfortable and amazingly waterproof. Despite the shower water hitting the seal directly, not a single drop of water got on to my plaster. Very impressed. A suggested improvement would be a more glove like shape at the end. Slide the arm into the opening and adjust the Velcro® straps as required. The Outcast Fingers Free Protector should reach past the top of your below elbow cast and can be adjusted to fit comfortably against the skin.
Care guidelines
Avoid scuffing the material as this could damage the weatherproof ability of the fabric.
The Outcast is not submergible – it is not suitable for bathing, showering, or using in swimming pools.
Handwash at a cool temperature with a mild washing detergent. Do not bleach. Weatherproofing will decrease after multiple washes. Can be re-waterproofed after extended use (when water no longer ‘beads’ on the surface of the material) by using Scotchguard™ or something similar. Do not tumble dry.
