One of my biggest problems with my cast is that I have to keep it dry. This was problematic when washing dishes and made showering and bathing impossible. I couldn’t find any rubber gloves that would fit or were long enough. I tried using plastic bags but didn’t have any that were long enough. They were also quite flimsy and challenging to seal when on. I bought a waterproof cover for my cast from

A little difficult initially to push hand into with a broken wrist, though each time I use the Limbo, this seems to get easier Feel secure and confident that no water/moisture will seep beyond the seal

Slide the arm into the opening and adjust the Velcro® straps as required. The Outcast Fingers Free Protector should reach past the top of your below elbow cast and can be adjusted to fit comfortably against the skin.

 

Care guidelines

Avoid scuffing the material as this could damage the weatherproof ability of the fabric.

The Outcast is not submergible – it is not suitable for bathing, showering, or using in swimming pools.

Handwash at a cool temperature with a mild washing detergent. Do not bleach. Weatherproofing will decrease after multiple washes. Can be re-waterproofed after extended use (when water no longer ‘beads’ on the surface of the material) by using Scotchguard™ or something similar. Do not tumble dry.
