I've been using Limbo half leg dressing protectors daily for many years as I've suffered with varicose ulcers on and off for decades. I rely on them to protect the dressings in the shower. They have always been effective and reliable, but can develop leaks after prolonged use. . I suspect that the root cause is aging of the plastic when it tends to lose plasticity and become a bit brittle. The leaks develop mostly where the clear plastic 'boot' is welded to the black seal. Small cracks develop in the clear plastic in the folds at the outer rim of the black seal. A few times there have also been leaks through the seam weld down the front of the protector. One was from a substandard weld but the others were from cracking of the plastic as it aged. Overall, I'm delighted with the Limbos. Having to replace them every few years is no problem - everything wears out in time!

How should you keep your broken leg dry in the shower?
The adult half leg LimbO provides reliable waterproof protection from the foot to just above the knee, fitting snugly around the lower thigh. The M80L is a longer version of our standard size adult half leg LimbO and is suitable for adults of average build and above 183cm in height. The strong triple layer cast sleeve is light and easy to put on, with its soft neoprene seal stretching over your cast (or dressing) to get in position. The seal is non-constrictive providing a safe and comfortable fit for patients with sensitive legs. The waterproof cast cover is a durable, reusable waterproof solution that will provide a long-term solution to the problem and difficulty of bathing with an adult cast.
