Ordering

Monday – Friday: 4pm

In most cases we can make a LimbO especially to fit your baby. Please give our friendly team a call on 01243 573417 and we will guide you through taking some measurements of your baby’s arm or leg. If you call us by 4pm Monday – Friday we can make and dispatch your baby’s LimbO on the same day.

There is a full range of Adult Half Leg, Elbow (PICC Line), Foot and some Arm LimbOs available on prescription from your GP or prescribing nurse. These are primarily for those with long-term conditions such as leg ulcers caused by diabetes or those undergoing IV treatment through a PICC Line or Midline.

If you are prescribed a LimbO, your nurse or the hospital may give you one of our Prescription Request forms. You need to take this to your GP who will then issue you with a prescription which you can take to your local pharmacy who should order the LimbO for you to collect.

If you need help determining which size prescription LimbO you need please give our friendly team a call on 01243 573417 or view the Measuring Guide on the product page.

Unfortunately, we cannot replace a LimbO which has been prescribed. If your LimbO is the incorrect size or, in the unlikely circumstance, faulty, please contact your GP or the doctor/nurse who prescribed your LimbO, who will prescribe a replacement for you.

We do not have a shop facility on our premises. If you do happen to be in the area or passing and you have placed an order for a LimbO, please give us a call on 01243 573417 and we may be able to arrange for you to collect your pre-ordered LimbO.

Product information

The LimbO Waterproof Protector is designed to keep casts, dressings and PICC lines dry when taking a shower or bath. The sleeve is made of a strong PVC and the seal is made of a soft, comfortable Neoprene. There is a full range of adult and child sizes to ensure that we have the perfect LimbO for you.

Learn more about the LimbO and its special features here.

The majority of LimbO models are fully submergible and therefore suitable for the shower and bath. However, we recommend that the following model types are used in the shower only or not fully submerged in the bath:

  • Hand
  • Foot
  • Elbow
  • Knee

If you would like to submerge your LimbO in the bath, we suggest you select one of the following LimbO models: Half Arm, Full Arm, Half Leg, or Full Leg, depending on the area you need to cover. For example, if you only have a dressing on your foot but would like to have a bath, we would recommend selecting the Half Leg LimbO instead. If you have any queries please feel free to give us a call on 01243 573417 and our friendly team will be happy to help.

Your LimbO is guaranteed for 12 months from the date of purchase.

Rest assured that we will replace your LimbO free of charge or refund you if you are unhappy with your purchase.

The LimbO has a soft, stretchy Neoprene seal which has been carefully designed to make it as easy as possible to insert the affected limb. You will receive instructions with your LimbO order and you can view our easy guide on how to use your LimbO here.

If you have an orthopaedic boot (airboot) fitted, it’s usually best to order a full leg model rather than the half leg to allow room for the boot. Please use the LimbO configurator tool on the home page and select the Full Leg option. It might be worth taking some measurements (using the guide on the product page) to ensure you order the correct size. If you need any help or advice on what size to order, please  feel free to give our friendly team a call on 01243 573417 if you need any help.

In many cases, yes you can. However, to determine if we have a suitable LimbO please give us a call on 01243 573417 with a tape measure to hand and our friendly team will be happy to help you.

Yes, the LimbO is 100% latex-free.

General medical advice is that swimming or similar vigorous water activities (e.g. water slides) should be avoided during the healing process and it might be a good idea to consult a medical practitioner if you have any doubts or questions regarding this.

However, you can use your LimbO for gentle submersion in a swimming pool, i.e. paddling or ‘splashing around’, given that you follow these safety guidelines:

  • Activities such as wading/paddling should only be done within one’s depth
  • Children must be supervised at all times
  • Never enter a pool unaccompanied
  • Never use the LimbO as a flotation device
  • Do not attempt to use the LimbO in recreational activities

The LimbO can also be used in hydrotherapy as part of a medically-approved treatment. It can also be used in a hot tub, but for no longer than 10 minutes at a time as the heat will cause a faster build-up of condensation inside the LimbO.

Full leg casts can be heavy and severely restrict movement, therefore for safety reasons it is recommended not to go in a pool or the sea.
The LimbO should not be worn for longer than 25 minutes at a time because condensation can begin to build up inside the LimbO as it is completely sealed.

We guarantee your LimbO for a period of 12 months. For full terms and conditions, see HERE

Sizing

To measure the circumference of your arm or leg it is easiest to use a soft tape measure. If you do not have a soft tape measure to hand, you can also use a piece of string (or similar) and a standard metal tape measure or ruler.

Simply wrap the soft tape measure (or piece of string) around the limb like a bracelet, ensuring it is snug but not pinching the skin, and then read the measurement. You can find out exactly where to measure your limb circumference using the Measuring Guide on the product page. Please also visit our YouTube channel for measurement tips and advice.

Please follow the quick, easy steps with our LimbO configurator tool which can be found on the homepage. Alternatively click here to find your LimbO.

You can double check that you have the correct size LimbO by using the Measuring Guide on the product page. Please visit our YouTube channel for further tips and advice.

Alternatively please call 01243 573417 and our friendly team will check that you have the correct size. It might be useful to have a soft tape measure to hand but this is not a necessity.
