What is a LimbO?

The LimbO waterproof protector for casts and dressings is a cover that safeguards a plaster cast, fiberglass cast or dressing from getting wet, so the user can take a shower or bath.

The LimbO is extremely comfortable and is designed not to reduce blood flow.  We make the LimbO from two layers of PVC with a nylon mesh in between, making it a durable cast sleeve. The seal is made of neoprene to minimise the risk of allergies that materials like latex carry.

LimbO Products have been making cast and dressing protectors in the UK for over 20 years.

Not only do we cater for broken arms or legs we also produce:

Hand cover (MITT) – for any injury below the wrist.

Foot cover (M20 or M25) – for dressings below the ankle.

PICC line, mid-line or elbow cover – this is to protect the port of the PICC line and dressings around the elbow.

With nearly 4 million people in the UK with diabetes, around 4.5% have or will develop lower leg ulcers. It is important that ulcers do not get wet as this could increase the risk of infection.  To help with this, our LimbO half leg models are available on prescription. Our PICC line covers have recently been made available on prescription.  Your doctor or nurse prescriber should be able to assist you with prescriptions.

We guarantee our waterproof protectors to last for 12 weeks, but if used properly in most cases they will last much longer.
