With so much going on at this time of year, it can be easy to miss out on all the Christmas goings-on! As you may know, we’re based in Chichester, so we’ve included some of the best things to do locally, as well as nationally, in this round-up of the best Christmas activities.
Haddon Hall at Christmas
If you’re local to Derbyshire, Haddon Hall is a fail-safe destination for a fun festive day out for all the family. During the Christmas period, its stately rooms are dressed to perfection and Christmas choirs perform twice a day. Don’t miss out on the mulled wine for adults and mince pies too!
Chichester Christmas Markets
This year, the Chichester Christmas Market is running from December 7th to 15th in North Street and East Street. The Market features stalls selling gifts, arts and crafts, Christmas food and drinks and accessories. And to make sure it’s fun for all the family, Hayling Island Donkey Sanctuary will be on hand with their donkeys for the nativity scene.
Wreath-making in Scotland
If you’re north of the border, why not turn your hand to crafting? Go one better than a shop-bought wreath and impress your friends with a home-made beauty instead. This wreath-making workshop in Edinburgh includes good and drink, as well as all the materials needed to make your beautiful creation.
Christmas down the canal
Why not take a trip down the canal and meet Father Christmas in his grotto? Every child will receive a present from Santa and there are plenty of festive refreshments for everyone. The trips take approximately 1 hour 15 minutes and depart from Chichester Canal basin. More information here: https://chichestercanal.org.uk/boat-trips/father-christmas/
