As we head into March and the weather is undoubtedly warming up, most of us breathe a sigh of relief at sight of imminent summer months on the horizon. But those of you that are a bit more green-fingered will know that now is a crucial time to get out and finish all those jobs around the garden, and that they’ll pay dividends later on when you can reap the benefits of your hard work.
Even if you’re currently in a cast, it doesn’t need to deter you from getting outdoors. We have lots of outdoor cast covers available to protect your cast from getting wet while you’re enjoying Mother Nature, as well as our original waterproof protectors.
So, now you know that a cast doesn’t need to hinder you getting into the garden, what are some of the main jobs you can be getting on with this month?
- Fertilise beds
As the weather warms up, so does the ground. Now it’s workable, add a layer of compost or fertiliser to prepare beds for growing some seriously blooming beauties!
- Get moving
If the soil is warmed up and not waterlogged, now’s the time to move any trees or shrubs you’re thinking of moving to a new spot, before any serious growing kicks in.
- Lawn and order
If you haven’t already, mow the lawn for the first time this year! Wait for a dry day and make sure the mower is set to higher than usual.
- Smell the roses
Or rather, feed them! Now’s the time to give roses special feed or fertiliser and also give them a good prune to encourage lots of lovely new growth.
- Flower power
March is a great time to plant summer flowering bulbs for a colourful show later in the year.
So there you have it, plenty of jobs to be getting on with. And remember, a cast or dressing doesn’t have to mean you can’t get in the garden. Check out our full range of outdoor products here https://limboproducts.co.uk/other-products
